Chapels

Tsugaru Church is a multi-site church. In other words, Tsugaru Church is one church that meets in several locations at different chapels. Each of these congregations have their own identity and activities, yet possess unity in purpose and a sharing of resources. There is one staff team, one membership, and one elders board. Each congregation has its own service, plans, budget and deacons board; however cooperation in manpower, prayer and other resources enables a wider ministry.

As God leads and provides, Tsugaru Church is praying to see further Chapels functioning in some capacity by the year 2010. There is a lot of opportunity!

  1. West Hirosaki area: 30,000 people with three known Christians.

  2. East Hirosaki-Onoe area: a large new suburban development. Around 30,000 people with two known Christians.

  3. North Hirosaki/Fujisaki area: a new suburban development and older community with 30,000 people. Many churches praying for this area but noone with plans or vision to start a church.

  4. Lake Jūsan (13) District: 20,000 people, with no known Christians or any known interest. Church flyers were handed out in 2003.

  5. Imabetsu area: 20,000 people, with no known Christians, but one lady showing interest. Church flyers were handed out in 2008.

  6. Tsugaru City: 40,000 people. About 20 people regularly attending Tsugaru Church events from this area.

  7. Hirakawa area: the church had a ministry in this area from 2000 to 2007; however with a lack of staff and local interest this minstry is put on hold. we pray for the day when a church can be planted among the 40,000 who don't know Jesus.
