Tsugaru Gospel Church: Mission

Mission

The purpose of the Tsugaru Gospel Church is to help people know and receive the gospel, and to assist Christians to live obedient, growing lives.

The Tsugaru Church will accomplish this by:

Going: to evangelize the unchurched areas of the Tsugaru and wherever God leads us.
Glorifying: to worship God in relevant ways, and if possible in places that are within ten minutes of residence. This will involve establishing churches with dedicated personnel and by Community Group "break outs."
Groups: fellowship, discipleship, and sharing lives of faith will be primarily done in life groups, and service in task groups.
Growing: an integral part of Tsugaru life is growing – every believer will be encouraged to develop. We will provide the necessary support ministries for church members to grow.
Giving: every believer will be encouraged to serve the church as members of His body. This will be evidenced by sacrificial giving of time, energy, and other resources. We also acknowledge the need to give to the churches of the prefecture to provide means of growth and encouragement (bookstore, BTC…)

This is all possible because of His grace evidenced in and through us.

Itayanagi Chapel will accomplish this by:

Going: telling people about and calling people to salvation through evangelism (Matthew 28:18-20).
Glorifying: glorifying God by worshipping Him in spirit and truth (John 4:24).
Grace: relying on Him through prayer (Mark 11:17).
Groups: increasing intimacy with one another through fellowship (Acts 2:46).
Growing: training Christians to become disciples who then make disciples (Epheshians 4:11-13).
Giving: serving God and people (1 John 3:17).
