The Messers

Armin and Heike Messer are both graduates of the Theological Seminary of St. Chrischona in Switzerland. They are from the south west of Germany (close to the border to France), and arrived in Sapporo in April 2002. Having spent about two years learning the Japanese language and about Japanese culture, they moved down south to the Tsugaru region. Their first son, Aviel Friedrich, was born in March 2004 in Sapporo, just before their move. After some months in Itayanagi and half a year in Onoe where they were involved in the church planting project in Hiraka, they moved to Kanagi to help the chapel there in reaching out to the 60,000 unreached people in the Kanagi area. They will be on Home Assignment in Germany from Jan.2007- March 2008.
